Here are some of Mr. Darcy's ancestors - this line goes back to Nubian King - 25th Gt. G'father - around 1890. Some of his other famous ancestors not mentioned below are Ch. Mars (22nd Gt.G'father), Ch. Dragonfly (24th Gt.G'father) and Ch. Blue Boy (25th Gt.G'father).

Never far from my side, I find Mr. Darcy every bit as fascinating today as when I first met him 5 years ago.

Aside from being number one lap dog and my bed dog - Mr Darcy has had a nice comeback in Veteran classes. He has won Best Veteran on numerous occasions, including the Scottish Pom Show, Manchester Ch. Show and UK Toydog 2007. For the 2nd time he placed in Veteran at Crufts (2nd - '07) and we look forward to taking him there again next year. Judges have frequently commented on his fabulous movement and outstanding showmanship - a true extrovert by nature!

Mr. Darcy has shown very sucessfully as a registered neuter. It is easy to register any dog as a neuter with the KC - there is a short form to fill in, you just need your vet to sign it and state when the surgery was performed. You do not need to give a reason for the operation. You no longer have to put "neut" after the dog's name when entering it at shows either. I always mention to judges that Mr. Darcy is a registered neuter when they examined him on the table.

Prior to owning Mr. Darcy he sired Ir/ GB. Ch. Belliver Secret Affair - top Pom in Ireland and UK in 2001 - so he has certainly has contributed to the breed in that regard. Neuturing effects Pom's coats in that it changes the texture - however they no longer shed the same and always have an abundance of wooly hair. This was also the case with our female Fizz who is a registered neuter.
