Like the ancient Beech tree, Dixie also has Scottish roots. The discovery that his 18th gt. Grandfather Parkneuk Little Jim hailed from Colinton – just a couple of miles from Dixie’s birthplace was quite a surprise. The journey through time of 80 years separating them weaves a path from Scotland to England to Canada then through various American States until finally his father arrived in Scotland. This link to his past is described below.

Dixie has many interesting ancestors. Through his father he is the gt.grandson of BIS BISS Am.Ch Finch’s He Walks on Water the BOB at Westminster in 1994 and the sire or grandsire of more than 50 champions on two continents. His 9th gt.grandfather is Berm/AM/UK/Can CH Pixietown Serenade of Hadleigh the RBIS atCrufts in 1960 and later the BOB & Group 1 winner at Westminster in 1962. His dam Toybox Tenacity combines impeccable North American lines and a very noteworthy British lineage. Please look at the footnotes for more information on the above ancestry.

Despite my nickname for him “Il Divo” he is the sweetest and most obliging little fellow. Dixie has 2 Reserve CC’s and was the first ever Pomeranian to gain first place in the Good citizen (breed) class at Crufts 2005. He has also been BD, BOS at a Scottish Pom.Club show.
