Here are some of Rocky's ancestors - this line goes back to his 29th Gt. G'father Black Jack imported from Germany about 1881. His father Eddie (photo below) has the following kennels in his lineage: Bryandee, Tookeyes, Paddockwood, Toybox, Derronhills, Cygals, Wilmscote, Aurum and Hadleigh. The below pedigree tracks a line on his mother's side.

 

Rocky is a very special Pom with a heart of gold and a unique character to match. He is very bright and has learnt many basic obedience commands and tricks.

Rocky qualified for Crufts and also passed his Kennel Club Bronze Good Citizen test - he then went on to win a 2nd place at Crufts '07.

Ch. Hadleigh Shining Star Born Sept 8th, 1975 - littermate of Hadleigh Honeystar. His dam was Hadleigh Honeysweet, Zambo was his great grandfather 4 times over. Bright orange - breed record holder for a long time. He won 32 CC's in 2 years and was the top winning dog of 1974

Born 10th June 1932 - 2 CC's - Clear golden orange - like his father who was Shelton Bonny Boy by Trixie's Boy out of Myrtle - by Sunset x Havelock Duchess. Bred by Mrs Langdon-Thomas (Perivale) sold to Mrs Kral (Glenelg). Did not like showing but an amazing stud dog. Miss Wilson (Dara) noted his importance in 1937. In pedigree of most winning UK Poms.

An orange daughter of Perivale Golden Arrow. Golden Arrow was born in 1928 and sired by Ch. Goldsun of Sunbright.

Ch Perivale Yvonne

Born Aug 24th, 1926, an registered orange. Her breeder was Mr. J Cansell - owned by Mrs. Thomas. Her dam was Shining Beauty - a daughter of Parkgate Glitter.

Ch Perivale Mist of Gold

Born 21 July 1919. A tiny golden orange with a dense coat. His breeder/owners were  Mrs & Miss Crawford. His sire was Sundawn of Dara, a clear orange sold to the Perivale kennels in 1917.

Meadowsweet of Perivale

Born 23rd May 1915 - she was registered as fawn or cream but is later described as a rich cream. Bred by Monsieur Goujon and sold to Mesdames Crawford. Her original name was Monna Vanna Pertinax. Her dam was Laura Pertinax a daughter of Ch Home Farm Triumph. She was also a grand-daughter of Ch Dragonfly by her dam Home Farm Jewel.

Prince Pertinax Born 26th Sept 1912, he was a rich orange and claimed to be 'the best orange to date'. Bred by Mr Richardson Carr and owned by Monsieur Goujon. His sire was Hazlewood King born 17th May 1907, a wolf shaded sable son of Ch The Sable Mite. King was bred by Miss Burton,owned by Mr Richardson Carr.
Home Farm Merlinda The dam of Prince Pertinax, she was born 13th August 1910 and reg as a black and sable ( black & tan). Her breeder was H Delderfield and she was owned by Mr Richardson Carr. Her sire was Shelton Merlin (photo on right) born in 1905 a son of Ch The Sable Mite who was by The Little Nipper and the mismarked black and white parti Laurel Fluffie.
Home Farm Dolly Born 19th July 1905 - a black and sable. Bred by Mrs Sherlock she was then owned by Mr Richardson Carr. Her dam was the unregistered bitch Saucy.
Beautiful Prince of The Sables  

Born 15th August 1904. A shaded sable bred by Mrs Collier and owned by Mr Horner. He was originally called Drewton Coney. His dam was the unregistered bitch Sabie.

A black born 15th August 1896. His breeder/owner was Mrs E Thomas. His dam was Queen Bee and his sire the famous champion Black Boy.

Ch Black Boy

Born June 1st, 1890. His breeder was Mrs Ireland and he was owned by Mrs E Thomas of Acton. His dam was Lu Lu by Jet and Dot who was a  daughter of Magna. He was also the sire of Mr Theo Marples Ch Chocolat an outstanding blue pom and the black Aigburth Queen  born in 1892.

Puck

The sire of Ch Black Boy -  and referred to by Hicks as being called Leibling. His dam was the imported German bitch called Hisza.

Blue Boy

Born April 21st 1884 - this blue pom was bred by Mr Hayward who eventually offered him for sale in 1887 for £15.15s. He was a popular stud and had many noteworthy off-spring. His dam was Topsey II born 1883 who was owned by Mr Hayward . Topsey's dam was Freda who was imported from Germany. Blue Boy's sire was Black Jack.

Black Jack He was imported and registered in 1881  by Mr Vernon of Winchester. No details are known of his pedigree or date of birth. He had been called Fritz prior to registration.
